Tour Itinerary

In the morning time, we will transfer you from your hotel in Aswan to the train station to catch the 1st class train to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be accompanied by your private Egyptologist tour guide where you’ll visit the most famous Luxor tourist attractions including:

Valley of the Kings

The mighty golden kings of the Eighteenth, Nineteenth, and Twentieth Dynasties of the amazing New Kingdom (1550–1070 BC) made the decision to be interred in the west and east valleys of the Theban Necropolis, the underground core of the tomb complex. Some of the most illustrious Pharaohs and nobles in Egyptian history are buried in 63 tombs in the Valley of the Kings. The tombs were hidden in the blessed shadow of a pyramid peak reaching for the sun, and this place was chosen for its mythological significance that watched the sunset at the western end, then reborn and revitalized on the eastern horizon.

Hatshepsut Temple

The holiest of holies, which are located on the west bank of Luxor and directly across from the Karnak temple, the principal sanctuary of Amun, allow visitors to clearly see the spectacular legacy of the golden Queen (1473–1458 BC). Senenmut, the chief priest of Amun, spent 15 years building the Hatshepsut Temple, which has three levels and some of the most spectacular decorations reflecting this great ruler’s remarkable history and accomplishments.

Colossi of Memnon

The beautiful Colossi of Memnon, made of quartzite sandstone, was erected by Amenhotep III in 1350 BC to preserve the illustrious legacy of one of Egypt’s most important architects. 107 Roman-era inscriptions that depict the Greek legendary story of the king Memnon, as well as mentions of his wife Tiye and mother Mutemwiya, and the Nile god Hapi, are located across the statues.

Lunch Time

Then, we will transfer you to a local restaurant in Luxor to enjoy your lunch and after finishing, you will join your tour guide to visit:

Karnak Temple

The golden Karnak Temple Complex, chosen over all other locations, evolved into a major site of worship for the divine Theban triad of Aman-Ra, Montu, and Mut. The enormous Karnak Temple Complex was built between 2055 BC and 100 AD to become the largest temple complex ever built in history and to display the best specimens of ancient Egyptian architecture, including the Hypostyle hall, avenue of sphinxes, and many more.

We’ll then bring you back to the train station so you can board the first-class train back to Aswan and continue your Luxor day trip from Aswan by getting a ride to your hotel.
